Wellness exams
A wellness exam is a full check-up when your pet seems healthy. We look at eyes, ears, teeth, heart, lungs, skin, joints and weight, then talk through anything you've noticed at home.
When your pet needs it
- Once a year for most adult pets
- Twice a year for seniors and pets with ongoing conditions
- Within two weeks of bringing a new pet home
- Any time something seems a little off
How to prepare
- Bring a list of food, treats and medications
- Note any changes you've seen, even small ones
- Cats and small pets travel best in a covered carrier
- Skip breakfast only if we've asked for a blood test
What to expect, step by step
- 1
A relaxed welcome
Separate dog and cat waiting areas, treats on hand, and time for your pet to sniff around.
- 2
Your questions first
We ask about eating, energy, toilet habits and behavior, and note anything that worries you.
- 3
Head-to-tail exam
A gentle hands-on check, usually on the floor or in your lap if that's calmer.
- 4
A clear plan
You leave with a written summary, any vaccine or test dates, and a price for anything we suggest.
