What rabbits really need to eat

Hint: it's mostly hay. A simple guide to a healthy rabbit diet.

General information only. If you're worried about your pet, call us.

Hay, hay and more hay

Unlimited fresh timothy or meadow hay keeps teeth worn down and guts moving. It should be available all day.

Greens and pellets

A handful of leafy greens like romaine, cilantro and parsley twice a day, plus a small amount of plain pellets.

Treats

Fruit and carrots are high in sugar. A small piece a few times a week is plenty.
